In the same day that HTC has unravelled its plans to bring Ice Cream Sandwich to a huge range of its old phones, we’ve managed to wangle a launch date for the Android 4.0 update to the Galaxy S2 from O2. Read on for the specifics.
Earlier this week we brought you news that Samsung has officially dated the Ice Cream Sandwich update for Monday 19th of March. Vodafone, for instance, has said that it’s working on getting the update out “as quickly as possible,” while no date has been set for Three or the Everything Everywhere group. O2’s slightly more specific. Not a lot more, but more all the same.
Mid April. That’s the word straight from an O2 spokesperson. The Android Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Samsung Galaxy S2 is being tested and will launch half way through next month for O2 customers.
