Not hyped up enough by iPhone 5 rumours? Fear not! We’ve got iPhone 6 rumours to chew on now. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of Concord Securities claims he’s heard from “supply sources” that the iPhone 5 will hit the production line in September.
He says it will ship with the same A5 processor as the iPad 2, an 8MP camera and a suped-up baseband chip. Otherwise, he says the iPhone 5 will look just like the iPhone 4 – think of it as this generation’s iPhone 3GS. The big news, he claims, is iPhone 6…
Kuo kicks his speculation up a gear by saying that the iPhone 6 will appear in the first half of 2012 with an earlier release date to combat the “fierce competition” from the growing army of Android phones.
Promising an iPhone 6 in 2012 is hardly rocket science but the suggestion that iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 will pop up within six months of each other is a big leap. Hit the comments and join the debate with us: does this latest batch of iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 rumours and speculation ring true or is it just an analyst penning fiction? We’re leaning towards option 2.
