HTC Wildfire and Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini hit Vodafone store

Got your eyes on a HTC Wildfire, or another suitably cheap Android phone? You’d better get the plastic out now then, and start placing your dibs pronto, as the smart and slim Google phone has just hit pre-order status over on Vodafone – and the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini is now in stock!

If you’ll recall, the HTC Wildfire is the company’s attempt at creating a low cost, usable HTC Sense Android phone. It’s been confirmed for a number of networks, but Vodafone’s now slipped it into pre-order stage, so you can reserve yours now.

Prices for the HTC WIldfire on Vodafone start at free on contract from £20 per month, with 300 minutes, unlimited texts, and a slightly meagre 500MB of data, over two years. As expected, there’s no Pay As You Go option for the HTC Wildfire, but it’s a shame HTC’s replacement for the HTC Tattoo doesn’t have at least any shorter 18 month options.

Alongside the HTC Wildfire, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini has also moved from pre-order status to shipping on the Vodafone store, with prices starting at exactly the same £20 tariff.

While we came away impressed with the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini in our preview scoop, that’s a little bit disappointing, since the larger HTC Wildfire is much more finger friendly, so unless you really need a handbag sized smartphone, we’d opt fot HTC’s effort. It’s also worth remembering that Mobiles.co.uk is stocking the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini with deals on 3, T-Mobile, Orange, O2 and Vodafone, so be sure to shop around.

We’ll be bringing you full reviews of both the HTC Wildfire and Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini very soon, so stay tuned.
