Virgin Media’s just launched a new mobile broadband dongle that ups the speed to 7.2Mbps for serious YouTubing on the go. Get the skinny on the speedy stick’s new pricing right here.
The new Virgin Media mobile broadband dongle, with a microSD slot chucked in for good measure, sucks data down from the internet at up to twice the speed of its previous 3.6Mbps USB stick, meaning BBC iPlayer will roll along at a canter, wherever you are… assuming you’ve got a decent signal.

Price wise, it’ll only set you back a tenner more upfront than the Virgin Media mobile broadband 3.6Mbps dongle, with no extra cash required each month on contract, so it’s the way to go if you’re picking up a new dongle for Christmas.
You can get your hands on it up for a tenner on an 18 month contract (£10 per month for 1GB, £15 for 3GB), and for existing Virgin Media customers, you can get it for £8 and £12 respectively instead.
Granted, those data caps are a bit stingy, but at least you’ll be able to grab email attachments on the double in a cafe, a car or a hotel. The new Virgin Media mobile broadband dongle is available now.
