If rumours are true, Apple has just completed filming on a new commercial in a California restaurant – a commercial for a new and apparently yet-to-be-named device. Could it be the fabled Apple tablet?
The restaurant, Jax at the Tracks, is a 1940s-style US diner offering “honest food with a twist”. No, that doesn’t really give us any clues as to what Apple might be planning. Nor does a statement from establishment owner Bud Haley, who said, “Apple found us. They’re trying to show us as a hip and cool spot for the 20-something crowd.”
As CrunchGear points out, this could all be a desperate publicity bid by Jax at the Tracks. After all, Apple always films its commercials in studios, right? Well, not exactly – last year the company shut down its New York City store in order to film some kind of commercial for the iPhone 3G.
