Just a week after Apple outed iTunes 8.2.1, with its lofty claim to “disable devices falsely pretending to be iPods, including the Palm Pre,” Palm has shot back. The Palm Pre has hooked up with iTunes, after a week–long spat saw the star–crossed tech lovers split thanks to Apple’s latest update. Palm webOS 1.1 issues stacks of fixes for the iPhone–rival, but will grab headlines as it ,”resolves an issue preventing media sync from working with latest version of iTunes (8.2.1).”
It was only a matter of time. Palm met last week’s iTunes challenge by saying knocking out syncing with the Palm Pre was “a direct blow to their users.” The question now is, when will Apple fire back with an update of their own.
