Smartphone fans are certainly spoilt for choice in 2009. And the Toshiba TG01 is hoping to be right up there with the best of them. Orange has just confirmed what we knew already: that it’ll be getting the exclusive of on the WinMo touchscreen titan.
Orange says you’ll need to front up a somewhat hefty £39.15 a month on an epic 24 month deal in order to get the Toshiba TG01 for free. And while that’s no doubt on the pricey side, you get plenty of mobile goodies for your buck.
There’s a huge 4.1-inch touchscreen, behind which you’ll find a neat, modded version of Windows Mobile 6.1 and Qualcomm’s 1Ghz Snapdragon processor. That means it should zip along nicely.
Toshiba is touting the TG01 as the ultimate movie mobile, with Orange bundling the trailer for summer blockbuster GI Joe on the device. You’ll also be able to get access to Orange Video and Orange Maps thanks to the on–board AGPS.
Obviously you also get HSDPA and Wi–Fi, so getting online will be a breeze. Stay tuned for a full review soon.
