Eee PC T91 hands-on!

The Eee PC T91, Asus’s first touchscreen, convertible tablet netbook, is here at last. We’ve swivelled it round, powered it on and had a play, so come and see all the hands-on photos!

It’s been a long journey from the Eee PC T91’s unveiling in Las Vegas in January over to Blighty, but Asus’s touchscreen Eee PC T91 is sitting pretty on our desk at long last. The Eee PC T91 is Asus’s first 9 inch netbook in a long while, but it’s bringing the form factor back with a twist: that screen rotates right round and folds down to make a tablet you can doodle away on. Inside you’ve got an Atom Z520 processor and 1GB of RAM, but it’s the touchscreen that stands out on this model.

The software for the Eee PC T91 isn’t quite finished yet, but when it ships it’ll come preloaded with Asus’s Magic Desktop to make touchscreen application launching easier, similar to the bar bolted on top of Windows XP on the Asus Eee Top. From the quick poke around we’ve had, the screen is responsive, but difficult to control with your finger alone, hence the stylus included.

The Asus Eee PC T91 should go on sale over here next month, but check out the yoga instructor of laptops in our gallery right here, right now!
