BlackBerry Storm, Official UK launch at 5am

RIM has struggled to keep a lid on the BlackBerry Storm for months, but the moment’s finally here – the email maven’s first finger-friendly phone will get an official unveiling early tomorrow morning. This isn’t rumour, it’s 100-per-cent-carved-in-stone-with-Thunder-bolts FACT!

Of course, there’s very little we don’t already know, but when RIM lets loose its official announcement at 5am UK time it’ll confirm the Storm will tackle the iPhone with a multi-touch screen, copy and paste, as well as next-gen haptics.

There’ll also be a competitor to the iPhone’s App Store in the shape of the BlackBerry Application Centre.

That’s all on top of RIM’s all-new BlackBerry Operating System, bringing touchscreen, force-feedback haptics and tons of new tech to the pockets of businesspeople everywhere.

We’re talking integration with Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Chat, AOL Instant Messenger, Google Talk, ICQ, BlackBerry Messenger and Facebook, as well as video streaming and the ability to act as a wireless modem for a laptop.

There’ll also be assisted GPS and full blown multi-tasking to run applications, surf the web, or tap out e-mails while you’re on the phone. Oh, and it’ll be exclusive to Vodafone in the UK.

Seriously RIM, what’s left to announce? The specs? Well here they are…
